Here at jmc-photography I like to capture the unique personality, expression & character of your pet. With my pet photography I specialise in capturing dogs, cats, horses at their best, their fun-loving personality in their natural habitat. The goal is to provide you with a wonderful experience, during a relaxed and fun session, and images of the pet you love, which you can cherish and delight in for years to come.

Pet Photography

The Location is up to you it can be at your stables, kennels, gardens, country lanes, meadows, fields, lawns, forests, parks, yards, sofas, ménages, paddocks …wherever you decide!

With a good mix of action, detail, posed and candid shots. Usually lasting between one hour with lots of breaks, treats and play time, this session is ideal for dogs of all ages and all personality types: from sofa hounds to non-stop ball-freaks, we’ve seen it all! We do love to document love stories though, so we always encourage humans to participate!

Equine Photography

This will be a fantastic experience for you and your horse/s and can be held at variety of locations, like the beach, woodlands, cornfields, or just at your stables. The choice is yours!
I am all about creating a relaxed and informal session that focus on capturing the character of your horse and the connection you share with them.

There is an unspoken bond between a horse a rider and this is the focus of the sessions I offer. Combining ideas and photos that you would like to recreate, I will tell your story, your horses character (both good and bad!) and the way you are when together.
My desire to create photographs of you and your horse in their natural environment that you can treasure forever in the forms of fully framed prints, photo books, canvases, mounted prints and digital copies

As a dog owner myself of Lexi my crazy cockerpoo, I know that she enjoys playing other dogs and its great to watch so if you wanted to bring along a friend (and owner) that is also possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

CAN WE RECREATE OTHER PHOTOS I LIKE?
I strongly recommended taking a look at my website portfolio to see what other people have had taken in their sessions. This will give you plenty of ideas of what we could do in your shoot.

I am open to most ideas, so if you have seen other photos you like, please do share these with me before the shoot.

WHAT IF MY PET MISBEHAVES?

Are you worried you won’t get the photos you would like because your pet gets easily distracted? Pets will always be pets and not models, I will work with your pet to get the best possible photos during your shoot.

I AM NOT VERY CONFIDENT IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA?

This is not a problem at all. The shoot is purely about the connection you and your pet have and is not a fashion shoot. As such, I like to keep the session informal and relaxed and enjoy capturing you engaging with each other and not looking at the camera too much.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT IS FORECAST TO RAIN?

Portrait sessions are very weather dependent and will only go ahead if the forecast is for sunshine or light cloud cover. If the weather turns for the worst on the day of the shoot I’m happy to re-arrange the shoot. In this instance you would not be charged for the postponement as I want you to have bright, vibrant photos, that you will love.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE SHOOT?

I will spend time to edit your photographs and provide you with a time that suits you to come and visit me to view your beautiful images.
