Wimbledon 2017 – the highlights of this years championship

Wimbledon tennis is always a busy fortnight for me. I have been a tennis photographer at this prestigious event for over 15 years now.  As with most years I was working for The Sun newspaper.  There is a team of us at the event – my goal for the fortnight was to cover the up and coming Brits and Court 1.

The Brits

Before the competition starts I always spend a lot of time shooting practice sessions with the likes of Andy Murray and other Brit favourites.  This year the tournament was all about the Brits, obviously led by Andy, but the girls with Konta and Watson also put on a great show.

My favourite players

My favourite tennis players to cover are Rafa and Djokovic as they take fantastic pictures with their facial expressions and their pure athletics on the court.  This year they celebrated the British Olympians from Rio – was great to see Andy Murray in the Royal box rather than on the court fighting it out.
